Shigeki Akiyama: Shift radix system, an intersection of symbolic dynamics and number systems

This is a joint work with Horst Brunotte, Attila Pethő and Jörg Thuswaldner.

Shift Radix System (SRS) is a simple and deterministic algorithmn on the lattice $ \mathbb{Z}^d$, which could be considered as a generalization of several important number systems, including canonical number systems and $ \beta$-expansions. In this talk, presumably located after the introduction of H.Brunotte, I will explain some important technique to know the shape of SRS regions and several open questions.
