The meeting will take place at the Bundesinstitut für Erwachsenenbildung St. Wolfgang in Strobl, which is located under the big red dot.

The Bundesinstitut is situated about 40 km east of Salzburg at the village of Strobl. Its address is

Via Salzburg: For many participants it's recommendable to travel directly to Salzburg. There are direct flights from many cities, e.g., Vienna, Paris, Munich, Frankfurt. Apart from some individual exceptions the arrival of most participants is expected for Sunday, September 26, the depature for Saturday, October 2. On these two days we will provide a shuttle for you between Salzburg (airport and railway station) and Strobl. On September 26 the shuttle will arrive at the railway station at 18:00 and leave for Strobl at 18:30, on October 2 the depature will be after breakfast. The exact time of the depature of the bus will be fixed in Strobl according to the needs of most participants. For a small number of participants arriving in Salzburg after the shuttle leaves we will find individual solutions with taxis or private cars. There is also a public bus ("Postbus") from Salzburg railway station to Strobl (choose the bus to "Bad Ischl") which stops in Strobl (station "Strobl Bahnhof") approximately 1km away from the meeting center ("Bundesinstitut"), for a timetable click here.  For a map of Strobl with the Bundesinstitut marked with a big red dot, click here. In order to get from the airport to the railway station there is a regular bus connection (O-Bus).

Via Strobl: There is also a railway station closer to Strobl (distance appr. 10 km) than Salzburg, namely the traditional small town Bad Ischl. This approach can be recommended especially for participicants coming via Vienna (or from other south eastern directions). At Attnang-Puchheim (half way between Linz and Salzburg) one has to change to a side line going in southern direction. From Bad Ischl railway station we can pick you up individually if you tell us the time of the arrival of your train. For more information on the connection from the Vienna airport (Schwechat) to Strobl click here.

Of course, it is also possible to take a taxi from the airport or from the railway station.

By car: If you come in your own car, follow these directions: from Vienna or Salzburg: Leave the Vienna - Salzburg Motorway A1 (Westautobahn) at exit Mondsee. Follow the signs to St. Gilgen on the Highway B154 and continue on the Highway B158 along the southern bank of the Wolfgangsee in the direction of Bad Ischl. Turn left at the sign to Strobl. For a map of Strobl with the Bundesinstitut marked with a big red dot, click here.

If you want to arrive earlier or depart later, you can stay one additional day before and/or after the workshop at the workshop location. For fees see here, where EZ means single room, DZ double room, Frühstück breakfast, Mittagessen lunch, and Abendessen dinner. Meals are not included in the room price.

Longer stays: For even longer stays, you could consider the following hotels in Salzburg (some of the following pages may be German-only, sorry).

Except where otherwise noted, all of these hotels are less than 10 minutes walk from Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (the terminal train station), from where busses to Strobl leave.
