Students' Work: Plücker's Conoid

Plückerís conoid is a ruled surface. It can be obtained by the continuous motion of a line that makes a right angle with a fixed axis. This motion is the superposition of a harmonic oscillation along this axis (with period 2π) and a contintuous rotation about this axis.

Created by Harald Atteneder (2014) using POV-Ray - The Persistance of Vision Raytracer.
